    Hello. I'm Augustus King. Of course, that isn't my real name. It's my pen name - the name I use when I write so as to protect my true identity. It's not that anything bad would probably happen if I was to use my real name, but I'd rather not take that chance.

    Right, then.

    I'm my mother's only child. Only, unlike most mother's, my mother is a man. He and his uncle raised me from the time I was born until now. Mother is as beautiful as he is intelligent, but he can also be rather cold and malicious at times. He also isn't the most honest person in the world. Still, I've learned a lot from him growing up. I've also learned a lot of things from his uncle, my great uncle, whom I look up to and admire. Just between us, if I had to choose who I'd rather be like, I would definitely choose my great uncle. I'm not saying mother doesn't have his good points. It's just... he isn't nearly as honest or as noble or as honorable as my great uncle. That's all.

    Anyway, I didn't come here to write about my family. I came here because I wanted to try to write and post some stories. I've been doing a lot of traveling lately -no, that isn't what I want to write about-, so I don't have the time to devote to writing and posting a truly good story "write" now - like the pun? -, but I would like to when I can find the time. I'm aware of the fact that nothing I post here will probably be any good, but still, I would like to try. Please forgive me in advance for any mistakes I might make and bare with me whilst I try to scrap out something good.
