I first started formulating the idea of the characters for Meean Universe during his time at University between 2005-2007 studying biology. During that period, I was also introduced to healing with crystals and spiritualism. This opened a new doorway of interest and is often seen in my work. After leaving, several pieces were written trying to find the right fit, eventually life was given to the Universe I created. It tells of various characters, who each have their own unique qualities, which are all derived from the emotions I have been through. My writing mostly revolves around commercial fiction and written to music. Some artists help to inspire certain moods, but the unknown dark-haired woman has been the greatest inspiration. A person’s eyes are a gateway to their soul. This was true when seeing her eyes and brought about my favourite character Ully'anni and a future concept. I have always enjoyed stories and believe that one exists in everything there is and many times by just being presented a prop, told a story. Stories have always been something that I have always enjoyed and often escaped to.

One thing that I have always liked it stories. Whilst I was at University. I started to write my own. When I left in 2007, I wrote various different things. Mostly about what ever came to me. During what I did at University I created certain characters that have always been with me since then. What I had trouble with was the environment to tell their story. I knew who they were and I knew what they were about.

There were several stories that I started, but they remained incomplete. The feel just wasn't right. It took a long time and a lot of trial and error, but eventually I found what I needed and it existed in a boundless universe that I refer to as Meean Universe.

Until recently I have never shared any of my work, none of the ideas or stories. What I write about comes from me and about things I have seen in life and experienced from my learnings at University. So that anyone who may read this understands more about me I do not watch TV, read newspapers or listen to the news. The last movie I watched at a cinema was Scooby 2. So, my exposure to another people’s work is extremely limited. I only read material for research about my writing, so all I read is non-fiction.

I used to read a lot when I was younger especially in my teen years. It was a form of escape. Some of the things in Meean Universe have never been done before. Some have of aspects. Even though I don't follow others work there are those that I talk to, who have let me know things. I already have a small following, who have been wanting to read and know more about what I have created.

Now I intend to slowly reveal all that has been completed to date. Meean Universe may have started more than a decade ago, but the environment I eventually chose wasn't until 2018. Many stories and ideas were started, to try and find the right fit for what I wanted to tell. In the end it was fantasy and once I acknowledge that a fire was lit and burned bright to the point that it was a rage that had to be released. Since then I have written more than 1.2m and now, since the start of 2019 I now write 4-5,000 words a day. Before you ask, yes, I do work too. Just have no other life. I literally live and breathe my world.

The story is more than just the presentation of characters telling a story and there is a story and a lot of things buried deep within. For instance, three religions/beliefs were touched upon to bring about this universe. Christianity, Spiritualism, and Taoism. The latter are more for the telling of this tale. Aspects from both had been used to help forge aspects and characters. There is also some reference to Japanese culture and if you look hard enough perhaps you will see what Chinese mythology part of the story relates to.

Talking of the characters the main characters are created based upon a set of emotions at a particular time in my life. I will not say to the degree. Everyone reading needs to explore the story themselves. For those who had been following my concept and know aspects of what is in here know how deep this story is. The threads weave and travel across the entire story for the main characters. There are the main characters and the closely following secondary characters are the key ones to support and build the story.

There is one actor whose work inspired a particular style and role of a group of characters, initially he was only going to be in and out of the story, but they remain until the final series. In fact, that particular person was also give a second character. The question you ask is who is it? Now where is the fun in me telling you. There is also a tribute to another great actor, who's work helped to give ideas to one particular race.

Yet the most important person who inspired so much for me is the dark-haired woman in the red dress. I came across a photograph of her whilst doing research for my story and have never been able to repeat the search. I wish I knew who you are, but “thank you for being the person you are.” Ully'anni was already a character I had created and is the only one not based upon a set of my emotions it a view of what I saw when I saw their eyes and considered them to have a beautiful heart and soul. I created the character with that view in mind to try and get across what I saw or want to believe they could be like. The race she belongs too, Mirrials are also my spiritually based characters, which is something important in my life and seen in my work a lot.

There are things like, plants, colours, names, that all a meaning and purpose. They are important and so I have come to utilise certain things in my stories. These things find their way into my stories too and was also I came to find my favourite name, not because of the name, but the meaning.

Meean Universe will take you to a place that you didn't even know existed. One that involves Earth and humans. That was created this way that no one can say it is about them. I have drawn from my life and experiences of how it has been for me since seven. What I have had to face and endure and some aspects were very emotional to write and many times I had to walk away and then come back. Even when checking altering all the stories for the Universe I still found it just as emotional as the aspects that are used are based upon real circumstances and situations and I have drawn on them and used them to create the main characters of the story.

This has my view of Earth as seen initially through a child's eyes and then opens up to what is within me to reveal my view of creation and the life that evolves from it and the possibilities of something far greater of who we could be and may even become. I read a lot when young attempting to escape my life. Those that stuck were fairy tales and things of those realms. To ensure people are aware. There no serious bad language in this story only B words and only occasionally to emphasis the situation at the time or that of the characters emotions. I have tried to write it for all types of people and ages. It revolves around a lot of different things. There is violence within the story, but this has been used to express the conflict of emotions and I am sure that if someone has been through a troubling emotional state that they will be able to relate to this story, regardless of the fact of the story that is told in this fantasy Universe.
