There once was a girl who lived underground

In solace she spun, dancing the circle round

Beneath the sky, beneath the sun, beneath the dirt.

    Mischief, magic, mayhem and mirth

A priestess of plants, of stars, and the grave mound,

She brewed her tea of mugwort and horehound

Drank it deep and steeped the soul

Following the rabbit down the hole.

This girl you see, is no girl at all

She’s a witch, and they whisper at the village hall

Burn her they could, but she’s beyond the threshold

Dancing in abandon with the Great Ones of Olde.
