I'm new to writing. I've always loved the idea of it, but had no idea where to start. It seems to me, writing a story takes hours of time and lots of enthusiasm. I've found writing fan fiction to be such a great way to dip my toe in the water. It's engaging, as I'm writing about characters I know and love, and it's a wonderful cheat to have a setting and general plot line handed to you. I've had a lot of fun writing my first story and I am motivated to keep writing it, as I can't wait to find out what happens to the characters in my version of Dead Rising 3.

A note on writing about a video game. I know it seems incredibly dorky (and it kind of is), however I figure I have an obsessive personality, and once I get into something I can't let it go. After playing this extremely fun game for hours, I wanted to know more about the characters, how they would react under different circumstances and what they might do next. So after obsessing about the idea of a different love interest for Nick, and fleshing this out a bit in my mind, I decided to start writing it down. I stayed up until 4am with several glasses of wine and my Nicorette spray, typing furiously and it was so entertaining for me. What I wrote required several edits I may add, however it was incredibly satisfying adding that first chapter, and eagerly looking at my stats to see if anyone would even look at it.

As to the more... adult section of my story, I have a bone to pick. I think my story is quite tame. Yes there is some violence, but all appropriate to the storyline and I don't feel it is gratuitous. As for the sex, it would feel unnatural to develop a love story and then cut to a blowing curtain of an open window as the characters get jiggy. Isn't sex a normal and natural part of life? I resent having to go to a special adult website to publish chapters which describe scenes which are very human.

Thanks for hearing me out, and I hope you enjoy the story. I welcome reviews and private messages, so please drop me a line.
