    Here is just a little of my fanfiction writing background. I started my first fic in 1997. I was new to the internet and new to writing. The very first person I met on the net was a huge fan of The Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles, as was I. She had written the most phenomenal TMNT fic and I was in awe of her. She suggested I write my own, so I did. I wrote "The Long Road Home", a turtle fic based on a romance between Leonardo and a woman named Ariel. After that fic I was hooked and began to write others. I wrote a Pitch Black fanfic called "A Glow in the Darkness" by Stephanie Anderson. It took off almost immediately and I soon had too many fans to keep up with. Once I had that one finished, I began to work on my own book. I now have three novels and many fanfics under my belt. I can't say they are perfect in all ways, but I really enjoyed writing them. As for myself, I am a 46 year old female and I love writing more than anything. I'd love to be published, but that is a difficult task these days, so I mostly write for fun as a hobby. I'm looking forward to meeting other writers on this website and hope I can share my fanfics as well.
