Constructive Criticism Only

I like to think that I'm a nice person, but one thing that will sort of "set" me off is someone criticizing my work and not telling me how to fix it. Yes, my work is rough sorry I'm the worst when it comes to punctuation and even grammar (having a habit of placing commas where I think they should go and switching between tenses). I can take constructive criticism the best I can, meaning if I feel that its justified I will do my best to take what you say to heart.

That being said, I know one thing I will get comments about is most definitely my characters. I like soft characters, ones who win the man they will love by their merit alone. The characters who love everyone, have a tendency to put others so far in-front of themselves that they forget to even think about how they feel, and would fight tooth in limb for others but not themselves. Why do I prefer these characters, well they are much like me and I feel they are the ones who can develop more as a story goes on. I started liking these characters after reading so many romance novels that the novelty of the chosen character traits lost any luster they had had. Don't know if anybody will agree, but I read most romance novels now and all I can think of is "Bitch" These characters are so headstrong to the point they almost lose the man they "love" and at times I feel are so selfish and self-absorbed they don't see what the other guy is going through.

And on that note, I do try to make sure that they develop a spine, or that their timid attitude is developed in a way that is endearing.
