    Hi there! Welcome to my new profile! Before you judge me, let me explain what I did 'cause, you see, it isn't what the mods and admins think! There were these books, you see... I really liked them, a lot! But I thought, in my arrogance, that they could be better. They had such potential but I reasoned that the author didn't do enough with them. So, being better than the published author at writing, I took it on myself to rewrite them; changing the characters, situations and all that, fleshing them out into something that was no longer meant for teens/young adults, making them my own 'work of art'. You see, that's original! That's why I posted it there! It's now wholly mine and my works! It didn't matter than I lifted directly from some parts, just reworded others, gave the characters different names, changed their sex or shifted scenes around slightly, it's still mine! I created and wrote it, so it belongs to me. However, the mods and admins didn't see it that way. What they are saying is that it's a form of plagiarism, that I stole from an author who had more talent at 17 when she wrote the books than I do now since she created the books wholly from her imagination and didn't have to steal the ideas from someone else to do it. But, you see, they have it wrong! I just 'tweaked' the books to make them better, fitting a more adult genre, making them slash. But, sadly, since they are in control of the site, they win the argument. Because of this, I've been relegated to their Hall of Shame for it, banned forever and never allowed back. You see, what I didn't realize was that there are more forms of plagiarism than just the well known copy 'n paste version most are familiar with. And one of those is taking someone else's work, changing it slightly, rewording things then posting it as your own. It still falls under the heading of plagiarizing, something AFF takes very seriously. The result is all MY hard work is down the drain, having been deleted by the staff. AFF's stance is that they take ALL forms of plagiarism seriously, be it the copy and paste version all the way to the most common one of not citing of sources when you use them, taking action against every one of them to protect the original writers/authors from people like me. So, now, I'm going to stomp off in a huff and pout then ponder this. But, rest assured, thanks to a sharp eyed reader who spotted what I did, I won't be back to darken AFFs doorstep again. And, perhaps, someone else will learn that such things aren't supposed to be done and, if you're found doing them, swift and harsh action will be taken.
