    Welcome to the Dark Side… Stats: I am 28 years old, single, and female. I live in northeast Florida with a roommate, two cats, and a parrot. I am a conservative and a Republican. Right now I’m hoping that Herman Cain wins the primaries. I joined the navy when I was 18 because I “didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up.” After 5 years in the service, I discovered that the answer is “a teacher.” I recently finished my AA and am currently working on my BA in Math Education. I should graduate in May 2012. Reviews: I review because I care. If I review your story (even if it’s a negative review), it’s because I care about your story. I never review just to be mean or spiteful. Plagiarism: I had parts of my story, A Test of Faith, ripped off by another writer. I have zero tolerance or sympathy for people who plagiarize. I understand that we are all “borrowing” from other authors, but that is no excuse to steal from each other. Flames: The most useful review I ever received was a flame. Just after I started my second story I was attacked by a rabid fangirl. I made Danny Phantom’s rings the wrong color (blasphemy, I know). But I took that mistake and learned from it. I do an incredible amount of research on each chapter I write. I use Wikis to pull things like quotes, trivia, height, age, gun models—you name it directly from the series. I welcome any review, even flames. Favorites Anime: I discovered anime in 2000 and haven’t been able to get enough since. I won’t even try to list them all. Here are some of the series that I may read, write, or review: Slayers, Yu Yu Hakusho, Fullmetal Alchemist, Full Metal Panic, Darker than Black, Soul Eater, Black Butler, Bleach, and Inu Yasha. Television: I was a Trekkie long before the 2009 movie. My favorite show that is still on air is Supernatural. I’m also a huge fan of Psych, White Collar, Leverage, Castle, and Glee. Some of my favorite discontinued or completed series are Smallville, Due South, Human Target, Star Trek TNG, and Star Trek Voyager. Cartoons: What can I say? I never really grew up. Favorites include Generator Rex, Swat Kats, Batman TAS, Justice League, Batman Beyond, Teen Titans, Danny Phantom, Kim Possible, and Avatar the Last Airbender. Books: I am a bibliophile. For the sake of time (and space) I will give you my top 10 authors (in no particular order): Jim Butcher, Mercedes Lackey, James Rollins (aka James Clemens), Sherrilyn Kenyon, Patricia Briggs, Douglas Preston/Lincoln Child, Peter David, Tanya Huff, Christopher Golden, and Tamora Pierce. Other Hobbies: I am a birdwatcher. Most of my usernames, email addresses, pen names, etc. have “phoenix” in them. This is honestly because I love sci-fi/fantasy and birds. It doesn’t hurt that I love Jean Grey as well, but I’m really more of a White Queen fan. I collect books autographed to me personally. I go to great lengths to actually meet my favorite authors.
