    Welcome to my profile! I go by ahndja on this site, based on the nickname I got during my stay in the US. I am a German writer and absolute fanfiction-lover. I mostly delve among Harry Potter fanfictions, but I can also be found in various other fandoms. The reason I got to this site is the rather unlucky situation with TOS on other fiction sites / website hosters. I am currently writing my own original story which also has some rather steamy scenes in it. Needless to say, I can't very well upload this on most other sites. I share Nerys' opinion (if you haven't heard from her - check out her profile here, she is the goddess of Hermione/Tom Riddle-fics!) that it seems weird that today's society won't bat an eye if people hack themselves to pieces, but once there is too much skin and too much passion, people are offended. Well, enough complaining now. On to my preferences in reading and writing: I thoroughly enjoy reading fics where the authors manage the characters to stay authentic. That is: no completely powerless and moronic Voldemort, no sappy and whiny Damon, no sadistic Neville. I support every writer who knows the difference between "there", "their" and "they're" as well as "two", "to" and "too" (yes, you will be judged based on spelling and grammar. Don't complain, if you publish here, you should take care your work is actually readable). I like a well thought-out and as logical a plot as possible (everyone makes mistakes, but please no huge blunders, yeah?). I am not too fond of obvious Mary Sues, though I do admit it is sometimes hard as an author to not put too much of one's self into their characters (that only goes for Original Fiction. There is absolutely no excuse for Mary Sues in fanfiction, unless it's satire). Most of my work here will be in German, though I just might translate some of it into English. I love both languages, so it doesn't really matter to me. Some things can be better conveyed in English, some in German, so... yeah, I'll come to it when necessary. Some of my favourites, though, include: "Wuthering Heights" by Kate Bush, "My Skin" by Natalie Merchant, "Bloody Sunday" by U2, and so on...
