    Greetings all, I'm a recent devotee of HP fan fiction (mainly), having discovered it just around a year ago whilst laid up with a spider bitten leg (Australia, land of kangaroos, koalas, and LOTS of poisonous bitey things), and have finally admitted to myself I am utterly addicted... to fan fiction that is, not spider bites. Those I can live without. I had read the HP series so many times, that I was honestly starting to question my sanity - when....EUREKA! I discovered the fan fiction community, and realised that if I was mental, then I was in good company! I also discovered another thing I had no idea I'd enjoy, as I'd never read any.....wonderful, wonderful smut! As much as I loves me smut, however, I still enjoy good plot, characterisations, interesting twists and turns, and original and unusual premises - all of which, I'm glad to say, I've found within the world of HP fan fiction. The talent of many of the authors takes my breath away, and, I must admit, intimidates me no end. I write, but haven't dived into the fan fiction pool yet (coward I am), and have a few plot bunnies that I'll eventually have a crack at once I get my courage up. Hopefully. Terribly long rant for just an avid reader, I know.... Sorry about that.
