Update: I will post updates here.
Real Life is still messing with my fanfic writing so I might post a new chapter or a new story at random from now on.
I have a ton of ideas that I want to try, but I will update only one ongoing story at a time.
About Myself:
I am accepting Story Ideas, Challenges, and Requests that have Naruto or Naruko with Sakura. These challenges can have Harems, but Sakura has to be the main girl. Also I won't accept anything not having Naruto as the main Character, any with Naruto and the girls dying except if it is a Time Travel challenge, any with Naruto being nice to Sasuke, and any one that has the cheating theme in it. Leave a comment on my profile for anything as the same rule is for Harry Potter stories as I don't like Snape, Draco, and Ron, Kim Possible stories with the Kigo pairing being the only main pairing that I will write about, and any pairing that I list below.
Favorite Pairings:
1. Naru/Saku (Naruto) - Naruto or Naruko counts for this one and I add Kaguya to either.
2. Harry/Hermione (Harry Potter) - Harry can be male or female.
3. Ben/Gwen (Ben10) - Incest for the win.
4. Yukiteru/Yuno (Mirai Nikki) - Yukiteru can be male or female.
5. Azula/Ty Lee (Avatar).
6. Katara/Toph (Avatar).
7. Korra/Asami (Avatar).
8. Peach/Rosalina (Mario Games).
9. Kim/Shego (Kim Possible).
10. Raven/Starfire (Teen Titans).
11. Yuri Pairings from Animes, Video games, Mangas, and other things that I really like.
Hated Pairings:
1. Yaoi pairings that mess with a pairing that I like.
2. All Canon Pairings in Harry Potter.
3. Most of the Canon Pairings in Naruto.
4. Pairings that are dead in Canon.
5. Pairings that had no development in Canon. (Most of the canon pairings in Naruto are examples of this).
The Pairings in the Favorite Pairings List are the main Pairings in Stories that I read here and even write which I post at AFF and other sites. For Harem Stories then the girl that I mainly pair with the owner of the Harem will be the top girl.
Back-Up:
I have a back-up of my stories at:
1. ftp://ftp.asstr.org/pub/Authors/Kage-Kokuou/
2. http://archiveofourown.org/users/Shadowking50/works
About some things in Stories:
1. I kind of hate stories that give off a feeling of a pairing that I like and doesn't get to in the story.
2. Cliffhangers is one of the things that I don't like when reading a story that isn't finish, but I get through them.
3. Using an idea from a great story and making fun of it. What I mean is using the full idea including pairings, story, and how things are going.
4. Inpending doom is something that I kind of don't like since it means that reading the story is really useless for hoping that your pairing is alive.
5. This is really something that I kind of wish doesn't happen, but it does. Stories that stop updating when it is getting to the good part.
Me and Reading Stories:
I only read stories that have the pairing that I like, are good, have good plots, and are truely about the pairing that I like. I can't really read a story that isn't about a pairing that I like since I will find it boring and stop reading it. So if any author check my profile then you can see why I might not keep reading some of your stories. Also I decide to read any story by a New Author based on what pairings they like then by their first full story that isn't an one-shot or short story (2-4 chapters) then by their next story after the first full one that I read.
I know that people look for two things with stories, pairings and plot. People mostly look for pairings as they want to read about them while the plot will keep people hook on the story. I am one of those people that look at the pairing then the plot to a story.
How I sometimes get ideas about a Story:
Trust me when I get an idea, you will see how crazy a story can get from thinking of one simple thing to watching a movie and thinking of an idea. Hell I can even be taking a dump one day and think of a story idea, that is how my brain works. Hell I can even look at an image and then I will get hook on an idea that I have that it will be come a new story.
Random Thoughts:
Also I don't write fully clean stories as my stories might have more clean chapters then chapters with lemons, but that is because I like to make a setting for lemons. Anyway, don't think that a story won't have lemons because there been a lot of clean chapters as sometimes I like to do a intro arc. Also most of my stories have characters from other series because of how I feel like it.
I like to thank reviewers that have to take one for the team of their pairing to review a story that isn't about the pairing that they like, but says that it is. I am giving big respect points to those people because they help with Rule 7 of my Rule for Looking at Fanfics. Because of these reviewers, people like me who wouldn't read a story since they see that their pairing is going to happen in the story will read and hate it when it isn't good enough for them to read. Like I said Stories that have my favorite pairing, but doesn't seem like it should happen because of what happen in it should not even say that they have the pairing. Also included are stories that seem to bash one of the characters in the pairing for most of the story. If a Author writes a pairing that I like, but bash the others that I will kind of make me not like them anymore. Also I won't put updates of my stories here.
My Thoughts on Fanfics:
I kind of hate to read a story and find out that it doesn't have my pairing or anything like how it is telling me about in the summary. So I only give stories a chance if I know that my pairing is going to be in them. Also I hate stories that are in the wrong area and also troll stories as the summary sometimes give it away or the title does.
I kind of see a problem in some fics that try the trio relationship with two girl and one boy since where that fic is found under can tell which girl will get the most attention out of the two. I only know a few fics that does the trio relationship right and I have them bookmarked. Also if I feel that I can do the same theme as someone, but focus more of forming the trio relationship then I will try it.
Sometimes I do like to read long stories, but if the pairing that I like in it is so slow to start then I will abandon that fic and go to read another. I'm not saying that the pairing should start right away, but if the pairing happen really late in the story without nothing to help it then that pairing is a waste since it needs to be build on during the story then a little before halfway should the pairing start to come out. My stories unless it isn't a Harem pairing or a one shot series will try to build up the trio of Naruto, Sakura, and Ino before I put together.
I feel sorry for the authors that put up stories without thinking of the way that people will react to it. I know that some people want to see how I as a writer will handle their fandom, but I do try to not kill off characters that I do use in my story, which means most male characters that I don't like will die along with a few female characters that I do like if it is needed.
Also I hate the sibling theme that happen for Harry and Hermione because any of the stories with this theme shouldn't be in the Harry and Hermione section because it isn't what most people want to read. Most people would read the theme if the two are going to be together, but barely any of the stories with this theme do that. Which is why my Harry Potter stories will have them as Half-siblings and together.
I do read Time Travel Stories and Stories that have a theme to keep a person from dying because they are really dying or just getting a second chance. A true death in the Harry Potter story is one when the character can't come back while Naruto is almost in the same area as in Canon there was a jutsu that could bring back anyone that died in a short time. With Nagato dead, that jutsu is gone and now there is nothing to save anyone that will die. So Time Travel stories don't count as being stories that I won't read because the theme of a time travel story is to fix the mistake that either lead to the character's death or the death of the reason that they are heading back or the main reason that they are heading back since it erases the time period that the character comes from. Also Time Travel Stories are a good way for people who hate Canon pairings that get in the way of their pairing to make it happen easier.
Also I feel sorry for authors that mess up their first time dealing with another pairing other then the one that they really like. It can make it hard for them to get readers to read more of their stories with that pairing. I have seen this happen and it is still going on with an current story that is in the Naruto and Sakura area on this site.
Also authors that randomly change shit in their story to make it unreadable for me will lost my respect. This happen in a story that I follow and the author piss me off. I don't know how long it take for me to just start reading stories from authors that I trust and not any new ones.
The whole deal with authors putting a story in the wrong section, don't they want people to read their stories. Then they should put it in the right section. Also Fanfiction should be this good thing for people love their pairing can write about them and bash characters that they hate. They shouldn't try to mess with the other pairings by putting their stories in the wrong section.
My Rules of Looking at Fanfics: These are mostly for Fanfiction.net, this site, and any other fanfic site.
1. Find out if the story has my pairing or not. Even if it isn't in the summary, the author can write in an Author Note in the first chapter.
2. See if the story idea is enough to keep me wanting to read it. I starting to not read stories that aren't fully planned with the pairing as stories that write themselves will not be good for readers that want to see a pairing.
3. Must not be a fake story. Like stories that sound like they have my favorite pairings, but that isn't what the story is about.
4. If it has my favorite pairing then it needs to get there before the half point of the story or have scenes with the pairing before then. I can't really read a story that has my pairing at the end if it isn't a one-shot since I will just skip through the story.
5. I won't read stories that isn't fully control by the author. I'm not sure how many I read, but I read a few that I look at then saw it change after the Beta-Reader made some changes to it. Those stories seem to have change to when I kind of abandon reading them and deleted them from my bookmarks.
6. Stories that end bad for my favorite pairing is some that I will not read ever. A few of them are on this site and they are why I started to change how I read stories on this site.
7. Wait until a story has a Review as Reviews can save you time from reading a story theme that you don't like if the Summary doesn't give you much detail/info about the story and what the story is about along with its theme. This rule of mine could be used to save people time from having to write flames as it also saves Authors from having to deal with flames.
8. This goes with Rule 7, Check out the Author of the story before clicking on a new story if the Summary doesn't give you much detail/info about the story and what the story is about along with its theme. I put this rule down since a story appear in the Harry and Hermione section that has a slash pairing which messes with the pairing that I like for Harry Potter. If the author isn't doing a first story then you can find out what that author like in pairings by looking at other stories by that author.
9. Even if the story say that it will have my pairing, the author can mess it up to the point that there is no way in hell that the pairing can happen in a real sense of plot.
10. This is a rule for authors of this site, if you put a story in a section that won't have the pairing of the two characters then put a good enough warning about the pairing. A good warning keep the flames away as a lot of flames start with bad pairing warnings and you get points from me for having this warning in the summary that appear before the person click the story title.
11. This is a rule for all readers, if a story isn't how you like it then make a Document or something to keep track of the stories that you don't want to read to make sure that you don't read it again in the future as I done that now. It is better to make the Document then to flame that author of the story.
12. This is more of a rule to authors, if your story is going to bash a character or a pairing then don't put it in the section where people wants to read about that character or pairing. It open up the author to flames and will likely get the story reported for a silly reason.
13. I add more rules later when I feel like I need to remind myself of them.
