    FIRST AND FOREMOST: WE LOVE YOUR REVIEWS! Keep them coming! Want to know a bit about us...? If so; read on! We’re not teenagers, but we don’t believe that just because you’re grown up that you have to become an old fuddy-duddy. Let me separate the two of us so you can get to know us a bit better. Way back when they first put up the “Sorting Hat” sites, we took the quizzes and the sorting hat declared that I would be Gryffindor and my best friend of all time would be a Slytherin. This kind of enforces the Sorting Hat in the book indicating that all houses should be friends. We have not formally published any novels but we do have several characters that have become well developed over the years of writing. Most of our writing was aimed at the era of swords and sorcery, and although nothing has been formally published we do have several family members clamoring to read what we have done. We may begin posting some of those on here; I haven't decided yet. Anyway, I’m a Gryffindor! My name is Ava and I have been writing and creating fantasy since I was about six… those older stories I may bring back to life sometime on this website, maybe another. But I’ll keep people in here posted if I do post anywhere else. I love reading and writing and I’m very particular about work I turn out; I’m kind of my own Beta. Tami double-checks things for us too… I’m a single mom and I absolutely love my little girl. I'm into all kinds of things including needlework, sewing, painting, woodburning, and taking care of my family. Favorite Movies: The entire Harry Potter series, Star Wars, Victor Victoria, Tank Girl, Shock Treatment, Poltergiest, Beauty and the Beast, Anastasia (Disney version), Toy Story, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I’m waiting and waiting for Elfquest to come out, but I’ve been waiting quite a while… Favorite Music: Favorite Genre: Filk music. Leslie Fish, Cynthia McQuillin, Dr. Jane Milander, Joey Shoji, Heather Alexander, and Brodignogian Bards (probably spelled that wrong… can’t pronounce it either!) I like to listen to the radio on www.Filk.com on my computer. I like most kinds of music as well; rock, easy listening, pop, country, classical… I’ll listen to anything except rap music and most opera. Favorite song? Well, I have always loved “Break my Stride” by Wilder Matthew Favorite TV Shows: I don’t watch much TV lately, but I like a lot of older stuff. MASH is one of my faves, as well as several animated shows including Ben 10, Pokemon (I think its Galactic Dimension now), Penguins of Madagascar, Danny Phantom, and House. Favorite Authors: Wendy Pini, J. R. Tolkein, J. K. Rowling, George Lucas, Anne Rice, Anne McCaffrey (a very lovely lady – met her at DragonCon), Mercedes Lackey (very funny when she’s drunk), Leslie Fish, C. J. Cherryh, Piers Anthony, Andre Norton, Robert Asprin… the list goes on and on. I love to read! I have also met Marion Zimmer Bradley, though I did not know who she was at the time… My partner in crime (or should I say writing) is Tami. She tested out as a Slytherin, but don’t let that fool you. She’s a great person to be around. Tami is a single mom too and both her kids are grown; one of them is a writer on this site and has several stories posted; she’s known as maramarie. She's quite an interesting person; into art and animation, and needlework, and upholstery, leathercraft, renaissance fairs, and things like that. She has quite an imagination and yes, I'll say it, she gives maramarie lots of ideas! Favorite Movies: The entire Harry Potter series, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Shock Treatment, The Lost Boys, also waiting and waiting for Elfquest to come out. Don’t you hate waiting?? Favorite Music: Favorite Genres: Country music, some rock, and Filk music. Right now one of my favorite songs is “Low Spark of High Heeled Boys.” Favorite TV Shows: I hardly watch TV; it’s mostly on for the noise. I do like the new Merlin series, though, and shows about medical complications and unexplained mysteries, and ones about the paranormal. Favorite Authors: Anne Rice, J. K. Rowling, and many others. Will have Ava update soon with details. Favorite Saying: From the Rocky Horror Picture Show: “A Mental Mind F**K can be nice!"
