    I enjoy Harry Potter slash fics with Harry as the submissive partner. However, there are so many fics in this fandom that it is often hard to weed out the bad from the acceptable from the good from the great from the OhMyGod - I will remember that FOREVER! I love HP/LoTR crossovers, but there are so few done well. My favorite pairing is Legolas/Harry, but I would love to find a well-written Aragorn/Harry, Boromir/Harry, or Glorfindel/Harry. Something with plot! My main problem when writing is avoiding making my favorite character a Mary-Sue or Gary-Stu. In the Harry Potter fandom, that obviously means Harry himself for me. I need to keep in mind that a character needs to have flaws in order to make him or her believable and relatable. Me? I make it so that everyone loves him. In a LoTR crossover, Legolas, Aragorn, Boromir, Frodo, Haldir, Erestor, Glorfindel, and every other male character cannot all be in love with Harry. Because, frankly? I do not really enjoy slut!Harry. And also, statistics put the population at about ten percent homosexual. So odds are that not all those men are gay. It just is not believable to make every male character gay - who is going to procreate so that Middle Earth eventually becomes modern Earth? So if you catch me making Harry too perfect or with too many male admirers, shoot me a review and let me know, okay? I try to keep my slash as believable and in-character as possible. Help a girl out.
