    Hi there! I’m sure that you’re visiting my profile to see where my stories went since mine were fairly popular in this section. Well… I’m sorry to say they have been deleted by the staff of AFF. Why you might ask? :::…clears throat in an embarrassed way…::: Honestly, the problem comes down to the fact that I plagiarized a published author. :::…looks abashed…:::: You see, what I did was tell all of you that a story was based on a particular novel and tightly interwoven with the plot of that book but, really, what I did was lift direct passages, just changing the names and places, then cobble parts of the dialogue and other things from the novel to create ‘my story’. Either way, it’s plagiarism, meaning I stole it. Honestly, this didn’t come as a surprise to me. A sharp-eyed reader leveled a complaint to me saying that I stole chunks of the story. What I didn’t know was that they also reported me and sent the site proof of what they were accusing me of. :::…sighs…::: You see, I knew what I did and thought I was going to be slick by posting up the last chapter real quick then yanking the story down before the site admins and mods caught wind of what was up since I was afraid of making it into their Hall of Shame for what I had done. Thing is, I didn’t know that they already knew what was up and had prepared what they needed before I could do that. So I have, indeed, made it into their Hall of Shame, just what I was afraid of happening. It’s so embarrassing and not fair! You see, though I read the rules and understood that AdultFanFiction.net has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to plagiarism, I thought that I was above them and wouldn’t be caught. Sadly, I was wrong so I now have my shame hanging out there for all to see. It seems that the mods and admins of AFF don’t see what I did as a ‘mistake’ that should be forgivable like some of my reviewers did, taking me to task for it and holding me responsible for my actions. But, now, because of their quick action, there is one less plagiarist out there to steal someone else’s hard work and post it up as their own. Well, now I guess I have to slink off with my tail between my legs and think over what I’ve done. Since AFF doesn’t give second chances for ‘mistakes’ such as this, I won’t be welcome back here, ever. Hopefully, the public spanking of the HoS will teach me a lesson and I can learn from this ‘mistake’.
