    I'm an avid romance reader. Currently favorite authors are Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb, Lori Foster, and Janet Evanovich, however I will read pretty much anything that catches my fancy. I don't read historical romances and can't stand "love your rapist" plots. I read the first 4 Harry Potter books in 3 days about 1 year before OotP came out. I was immediately taken in by the story and have read each subsequent book the day of release. I found fan fiction after publication of DH. My first taste was a hilarious story called "Hogwarts Staff Meeting" by Inkwolf posted on www.cosforums.com. I wrote my first FanFic at age 7 about the Dukes of Hazzard. Let's just say I had no idea it was even called fan fiction and well; it was really, really bad. I'm not sure how much of that has changed in the past 29 or so years but I've decided to give it a shot and I've completed my first story *Yea me*. So onto my FF likes. I'm pretty much a stickler for cannon, and can be quite Hemione-ish in my reviews. That said, for some reason I'm not overly fond of cannon couple stories. I find Harry/Ginny and Ron/Hermione stories just too cutesy or sweet to be really enjoyable. I think JKRs epilogue, while unsatisfying, did at least give closure to those sub-plots, and I just can't seem to read stories about their first time without gagging. I typically don't read strictly Slash or Femslash, however, don't mind it as part of a story as long as it isn't the primary coupling. Currently I'm heavy into Dramione, but I also love next gen fics, Neville and a girl other than Luna, HG/FW, and HG/GW. I'm taking a break from his royal snarkiness but am continuing to read the stories that are still ongoing, which are Care of Magical Creatures by miamadwyn, Saving Your Life by limisblack, and The Love You Take by subversa. These fabo WIP's are keeping me from completely dropping HG/SS. Okay FF Peeves, I have more but I’ll give my top 5 1. Misspelled words - There is no reason for this. Pretty much every word processing program has a spell check. I'm a horrible speller, and spell check has been my salvation. 2. Non-Cannon descriptions/terminology – Draco’s eyes are GREY not BLUE. Hermione has bushy brown hair. Wiccan terms do not belong. ‘Gods!’ is not an acceptable exclamation. 3. Characters saying things like OMG! or WTF? only the girl in that commercial talks that way. Type it out! 4. Characters that are really really OOC - Hermione isn't a coward, Severus isn't a cuddly bear, Percy isn't casual. Make them gay, make them slutty, make them fat in their old age, but don't change their nature because then they are someone else! 5. Authors who declare I'm not going to update until I receive XX reviews. Oh goody then I won't bother reading anything else you write again EVER!
