Back in 2009, I got really sick and almost died-ish and will be sick for the rest of my life. Since then I haven't gotten back into the groove of this place, but I miss it and every now and then I pop in and fiddle around and get up to some hanky panky. I certainly don't update regularly enough to cultivate a religious fanbase, but any fans that stroll my way have my full appreciation.

I write fanfiction primarily to explore my literary limits. My goal is to have a slough of stories spanning a wide variety of topics and styles.

I changed my pen name from sasquatchsnake to SnarkWrangler. To try to streamline things, I included both names in my pen name for a year or two, but the change is for reals now. Sorry if that causes unnecessary problems or confusion! Both my aff.net and ff.net accounts will have the same pen name and should remain consistent with each other.

Progress: Life is a crazy place. Reviews and PM's are crack snacks that fuel me when I'm writing, which is invariably done between midnight and five a.m. in a pseudo-manic state. As such, posting is erratic.

Story Discussion: Even though it's superfluous and obnoxious, these are my opinions and notes on the stories I'm writing. You're welcome.

Getting Credit - The closest I ever want to get to a "highschool AU," GC is young and fresh and about growing the fuck up. It used to be my potato chip story, or the junk-food status writing I hacked up when nothing more profound wanted to be writ, but as of Chapter 8, I've turned my attitude around. I'm now taking it much more seriously, with longer chapters, smoother transitions, and more fluid plot development.

Unspeakable - I'm dramatically in love with this one and excessively excited about the course charted for it. I'm an avid fan and sort of swoon over it.

The Best Man - Porn, anger, heartbreak. Sound like ingredients for delicious fucking cupcakes.

Bugs in the Genes - Adorkable for days.

Cabin Fever - This goofy bit of slapstick never fails to tickle me. It's a drama, as in written as a play, about friends taking a road trip to a cabin in the woods. It's fun and challenging to portray action and character using only dialogue, so it's a blast to write.

A New Leaf - I'm a massive overachiever for this one, and unfortunately it suffered the worst setbacks in the hard drive crash and accidental resets of 2010. I lost close to three chapters during that time frame, threw a snit fit, and have been ignoring it for a while. The plot is monstrously complicated and will eventually have its fingers in comedy, drama and horror all at once. It's incredibly fun to write, and I look forward to getting back into it.

The Ceremony of Innocence - Hot damn, this is going to be bitchin'. It's fast-paced, violent, and grimly unromantic. Think psychological thriller. Romance will be a slow build and prison scenes won't come until after chapter 5 or so.
