    Retired Physicist and Mechanical Engineer, married to another Mechanical Engineer.  Married with two daughters, both mechanical engineers.

    Hobbies are astronomy, brewing (wine), fencing (foil, epeé, and rapier), illuminating scrolls, medieval costume making, and the Society of Creative Anachronism.

    I beta for a number of authors, primarily Harry Potter, NCIS and Man from Uncle.  

    I speak French, Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan, Italian, and some Russian, Welsh and Scots Gaelic. 

    I am more than happy to help with information for any of my hobbies, general engineering and science info or help with translating English into another language [for example to use for a spell in a Harry Potter story].
