ABOUT MOI!!!!
The name is Emma, my friends call me Emz, or as of lately thanks to my wee Scottish pal Matt, they call me Emza, no idea why O_o lol But it’s cute!
Any who, here’s a big looooong story of my life and boring existence (I’m kidding!) as my friends shall tell you I’m miles away from boring ha ha ha! I was born in a small town near Co. Cavan in Ireland (I’m a brunette for those who believe whole heartily Irish=red heads, that is a common misconception! We are mostly brown haired and blue eyed!! Lol).
Thanks to an eye disease that left me mostly blind, I ended up a shy individual, withdrawing from those around me and then when I was six and my mother passed away, I crawled further into my shell, tis there I discovered the world of books! The first book I ever picked up, I was eight and it was an animal ark book by Lucy Daniels (I am astounded I can actually remember that!), after the first five pages I was hooked and then every two weeks I was off to the library, picking up three animal ark books, till I had the entire collection read, I then moved onto Sabrina the teenage Witch and Goosebumps! The Headless Ghost was by all far my favourite and the creepiest!!
By the age of ten I discovered a talent for writing I didn’t even know I had, I would sit by the kitchen table of my step mum’s parents house and scribble away (In my horrendous handwriting!) upon A4 pages my step-granddad had rustled up for me. At the end, my Granddad would read the stories, with a small grin on his face and after correcting the few mistakes I made and telling me where I could improve; he’d give me a five pound note and tell me well done.
From there my gift sort of mutated, I had notebooks EVERYWHERE! My floor was lost to it for many years because of it!! I would wake up at random ours of the night, two am preferably and a light bulb would be all aglow atop of my mussed bed head, and I would just have this ridiculous urge to write! Hell I’d wake up wanting to write, and I’d go to sleep with hundreds of ideas buzzing about in my head. I got a taste of poetry by that time, stories forgotten for a while and in my state of depression (Because sadly I was depressed thanks to people from home and school who shall remain nameless!) I wrote very dark, but rather good poetry if I do say so myself.
NOTE: For new writers out there! Have a notepad on you at ALL TIMES! You never know when you may get an idea!!!
By the age of fifteen, my thirst for writing had only grown and I had become an awful daydreamer, I found myself sitting watching TV, mainly anime, Yu-Gi-Oh! Escaflonae, Pokémon, Studio Ghibli, etc …etc! And barely paying attention because in my head I was re-writing what I saw, recreating the characters, making Yugi tougher, or lol more feminine depending on my mood, mixing Pokémon in with Yu-Gi-Oh! I even wondered if I could mix the anime with my favourite novels. In my head I had this nutty world, Fan-fictions incomplete, dying to escape, to be written and to have their ending or be forever stuck in the dark recesses of my mind.
And so I started a knew notebook, or notebooks as the case may be and to this day (AGED 25) My love for anime still as strong as ever, I have been writing fan-fictions, but now I want to share them!! :)
