This is a sweet and heartwarming little story about two boys growing up together and eventually getting close in *that* way, too. Shawn has selective mutism and can't always speak, hence the title. What got me was how, even though this story is cute enough to drool over, it's also heart-wrenching and saddening and then again insanely adorable. These are characters you root for immediately.

It's a story about a pack of shape shifters -or really, a shape shifter's struggle with accepting the dominance of his alpha- and I don't normally click on supernatural stuff but this one was worth it. What I really enjoyed was the effort that went into making the character's personalities a little like those of the animals they shift to- wolf shifters live in groups and have an easier time submitting, whereas cats live alone even when in a relationship, that sort of thing.

It was a neat story about AIs- about their physical and emotional limitations depending on the model, and how they understand and struggle with those limits. It made me have thinky thoughts about the definition of life and where the line is.

Sadly, this story didn't have a whole lot of reviews, which I think was mostly due to the fact that the main focus is on revolution instead of smut and/or true love (although love and sex and humor all feature as well); the lack of feedback and the resulting lack of motivation did show a little by the end of it- I think the author deserves major respect for finishing the story at all! So anyone reading this should totally go and check it out!
