This is the only writer who's Hojo is actually human...insane, but clearly human. He's got reasons for his actions that, while coming from a place of insanity, still have a logical streak. This Hojo has the intelligence and brilliance to have won and kept his place in Shinra, and the charisma to have attracted Sephiroth's mother to his side. This is a Hojo I can see as having fathered Sephiroth, instead of Vincent Valentine, in spite of the resemblance.
