I'm a lurker, with delusions of writing my own stuff. I look to other authors here for inspiration, and I acknowledge that fanfiction may be the greatest untapped artistic resource in the world today. I am a great lover of world literature. I revel in a well-turned word, and I am here to witness that which the mainstream overlooks and scorns. It is both thrilling, a little scary and a little sad that I have, in my internet fiction travels, discovered gems to rival any New York Times Bestselling author. The truth is, sometimes the stories I find here on AFF and elsewhere are written with more appreciation for genre, character and detail than many of the most popular works of fiction - certainly they are often written with more love. So I say, "Carry on brave soldiers!"
