I hide behind a painted masque.
I cry alone.

I'm stubborn as a door nail.
I laugh until I cry.
I'm sad, even when I'm happy.
I've been in love. Three times.
Two of them are gone, and I'm down to one.
But I've been loved, and that's all I could ever ask for.
