I am a writer, a musician, an artist, a dancer, and an actress, in that order.

I am much more than obsessed with Harry Potter, and way past addicted. I am to the point where I live, breathe, and even speak Harry Potter. It is how my mother punishes me when I have done something deserving of being punished, how my bullies have pretty much always gotten to me, and how my family and closest friends gift  me when it comes to birthdays and holidays. I quite literally grew up with Harry Potter, having read the first few books as soon as I could actually read something longer than five chapters. The characters of Harry Potter were – are – my closest friends, not counting my friends I consider family and the family members I call friends, and reading the series has basically saved my mind, and my life, on multiple occasions.

I don't dislike my proper name, but I don't like it, either. I much prefer being called Silversong. I am what most people call strange, but I prefer stable enough to live among the general population. But that is where I get my ideas for my books, from my insanity and depression. I get horrible writer's block, and that causes me to start another story until it goes away. Recently, I've been able to count on one of my best friends to help me combat my writer's block.

I find that the more you write, the better you get, and constructive criticism can help you even further. When writing fanfictions, we use characters that we do not create, and that makes it difficult, often resulting in writer's block. But when we take our own characters, coming up with their backstory, their strengths and weaknesses, their friends and family, and insert them into said fanfiction, we personalize what we're writing about, and, (though we do not claim ownership of it) in a way, we make it our own.
