Hey everyone, my name is Faith, but I usually go by my net handle of JadeKintairse...or just Jade. I'm a 20-something year-old anime geek who draws, cooks, reads, and writes in her free time. I do alot more things, but it's too much to list. And besides, you can always check out my DeviantArt page [http://jadekintairse.deviantart.com or MySpace page[myspace.com/jadekintairse for more info on me. I guess my reason's for coming here is to finally get some of the massive fan-fics out of my brain so they can stop haunting my dreams :P. And my friend Kat is compelling me to write again, so why not post it up so the whole world can see? Beats letting it sit on my computer with no where else to go. Oh, I'm a huge Ronin Warriors/Samurai Troopers fan, but I just love anime, period! So, where did I come up with the handle JadeKintairse? Well, the reason of that is because she was the first character I ever created-like back when I was 12-and now over a decade later, she's still one of my most used characters. You could say she's an alter-ego. I know, I know, it kinda falls under the Mary-Sue genre of wanting to have yourself plop smack in the middle of you favorite fictional story so all the characters can love and adore her. Well, it doesn't happen that way. She's rubbed off on me just as much as I've rubbed off on her. Jade's the part of me that was hidden deep inside that was strong, and fiercely independent when I wasn't. But I've grown up, and I have became strong and fiercely independent. In turn, she has some of my loner streak and tomboy attitude. She puts up a big front sometimes, but that's just her. Okay, enough on that, back to me! I guess I can put down some of my likes, dislikes, and what I hate seeing when I read fan-fiction. Likes: Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate! I'm currently burning through all of Christine Feehan's Dark Series books at an alarming rate (even for me-4 books in a week and a half!. I aslo somehow got into the Paranormal Romance genre. Don't ask why, it gives me a headache :P. I love horror movies, action movies, and anything with a compelling story. I'm actually a big tomboy so it's mainly to blame. Other than anime, I watch alot of cartoons( Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends! I LIKE CEREAL!!), listen to alot of music (Korn, Linkin Park, J-Rock are on the top of the list right now.), and hit the video games when I can get the chance with my busy work schedule. Gotta make a living, right? Dislikes: Homemade Banana Pudding. Y'know, the stuff with the bananas and the Nilla Wafers in it? Yeah, looks like baby puke to me so I can't even put it near me. If you ever want to see someone turn green, just shove a spoon of that in my mouth and it'll happen instantly. I know, sounds wierd, but it's true. What else? Oh, yeah! WHINNY ASS-PEOPLE! People who think they can get what they want without having to work for it! Or even those who do work, and whine because they want more! Get over it, seriously! Even worse are people with no work ethics, but that has to deal more with people I work with than anything. I respect honesty in people, but if you're 20-something and whinning like a 3-year old, that'll tick me off fairly quick. Mommy and Daddy aren't there to wipe your behind anymore, so cowboy up and do it yourself. What I hate reading in Fan-Fiction: People who make themselves(aka their character) the center of attention, all the time, for every single damn scene. And there's no apparent reason behind it other than to just showcase them in their glorious perfection. Don't get me wrong, any self-respecting writer out there has a bit of the Mary-Sue in them and can't help it. Hell, look at Harry Potter; its loaded with it. But it's good so I can't complain! Well, it's not really a hate, but I just get bored reading the same thing over and over. It's that lack of originality factor. Most people when they write don't try to dive deeper and imerse themselves in the world. But, it's been awhile since I read any fan-fiction so maybe that isn't around anymore. Or writers who don't really dig deep and write the atmosphere. They just put "So and so did this, then this." I want to read what's happening! Is there a breeze blowing? What's running through their heads? ARE THEY EVEN WEARING CLOTHES!? And before some activist starts with me about it lemme put it out on the table: I don't care if you pair your original character with your fav fictional character. It's a guilty pleasure and we all should be able to do once in a while. Just don't have them fall madly in love at first sight. It doesn't happen that way; let them build up into their relationship. Just like with any character in the stories that you might write, ya want to catch the reader's attention. :) Anywhoo. Hopefully in the near future I can get some of my fics posted up here, but for now just bear with me. I'm getting back into the writing game after a five year absence. And this isn't easy for me just to jump back into the game like I never left. Hope to talk to you all soon. Also, before anyone ask-I do have a fanfiction.net account, but I can't post up my more adult oriented stories up there, now can I? Heck, I think I might take my stuff down there and move it over here. Dunno quite yet.
