Artist Statement: I'm not a new writer, I simply haven't written anything in ages. I'm not new to the site either, I just haven't posted anything yet, but I will, so be patient for genius cannot be controlled; it comes infinitesimally to the mind and the senses and then will vanish without warning. Beware reader, for I am loathe to confine myself to one project if it no longer interests me. Check back frequently for updates. ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀ ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ ORIGINS OF THE NAME - xXFoolishXMortalXPuckXx A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM by William Shakespeare PUCK Captain of our fairy band, Helena is here at hand; And the youth, mistook by me, Pleading for a lover's fee. Shall we their fond pageant see? Lord, what fools these mortals be! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - PUCK Thou speak'st aright; I am that merry wanderer of the night. I jest to Oberon and make him smile When I a fat and bean-fed horse beguile, Neighing in likeness of a filly foal: And sometime lurk I in a gossip's bowl, In very likeness of a roasted crab, And when she drinks, against her lips I bob And on her wither'd dewlap pour the ale. The wisest aunt, telling the saddest tale, Sometime for three-foot stool mistaketh me; Then slip I from her bum, down topples she, And 'tailor' cries, and falls into a cough; And then the whole quire hold their hips and laugh, And waxen in their mirth and neeze and swear A merrier hour was never wasted there. ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ "The key question isn't "What fosters creativity?" But it is why in God's name isn't everyone creative? Where was the human potential lost? How was it crippled? I think therefore a good question might be not why do people create, but why do people not create or innovate? We have got to abandon that sense of amazement in the face of creativity, as if it were a miracle if anybody created anything." - Abraham Maslow ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ A Destiny Unfolded ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ "O ye perpetual flowers content In the eternal gladness! ye who make Your odours all seem to me one sweet scent, Breathe on me and break the fast wherewith I ache And which hath kept me long in hunger lean Because on earth it found no food to take." Paradiso, Canto XIX, Lines 22-27 - The Divine Comedy, Dante's Inferno. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Words from the Wise ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ "All that we are is the result of what we have thought. The mind is everything. What we think we become." - Siddhartha Gautama (Buddha) "It is better wither to be silent, or to say things of more value than silence. Sooner throw a pearl at hazard than an idle or useless word; and do not say a little in many words, but a great deal in a few." - Pythagoras "Do you wish to be great? Then begin by being. Do you desire to construct a vast and lofty fabric? Think first about the foundations of humility. The higher your structure is to be, the deeper must be its foundation." - Saint Augustine "A man is but the product of his thoughts. What he thinks, he becomes." - Gandhi "The superior man is distressed by the limitations of his ability; he is not distressed by the fact that men do not recognize the ability that he has." - Confucius ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ A b o u t T h e A u t h o r ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ Personality Quips Celtic Zodiac - The Ivy The "full moon" Ivy individual radiates a successful image all the time, even while suffering a reverse of fortune. These people are generous providers, but can be shrewd when it comes to their financial resources and income. The "full moon" Ivy individual can also be extremely manipulative and liable to use any position of power in a ruthless manner. As a result, this individual often becomes involved in disputes and litigations. In general, Ivy individuals have great personal stamina and a wealth of talents that can bring personal honors and public recognition. Such people are generally colorful characters with a unique style which is all their own. Restless by inclination, Ivy people are nonetheless sociable and good-natured. Cheerful, expansive and magnetic, they easily win friends and dislike offending others. Although frequently indecisive, Ivy individuals are far from weak-willed and will tackle difficult tasks with infectious optimism. They also possess a sharp intellect which is matched only by their sense of humor...however, their personal doubts and fears can manifest into strange dreams and personal encounters. Blessed with profound artistic flair, Ivy people tend to be greatly valued as friends. Numerology - - - - - - - - - - Personality No. 1 - - - - - - - - - - You radiate with a dynamic and efficient energy. You appear controlled and capable. You value courage and effort in the face of difficulties and these qualities show. Others can sense that you will not be pushed around. You are recognized as a pioneer; you have your own ideas of how to do things. You are a risk taker, original and highly creative. You should be wary of appearing too aggressive or unreceptive. You can intimidate people if you don't soften your exterior somewhat. By doing this, you will attract less confident people who will be more willing to approach you with their thoughts and suggestions. ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ Astrological Libra - Birthday : October 1st Age: Meaningless. Age is merely a number. ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ I have always possessed the ability to innovate, to become one with the inner self and align with the forces of Nature. Yes, I sound like one of those prophetic mystics, but take heed: My beliefs are my own. I do not adhere to organized religion, but I am tolerant of others' views. I am open-minded, and have always felt a kinship with those who are not so narrow in the sense of perceptions about the world around us. To me, writing is a form of art. It is a way we can express ourselves in the deepest level; a foundation for the subconscious to release pain, fancy, or pleasure on a mere whim. Humans are very adaptable creatures, and that is why I believe that to write is to project oneself into the story and that the stories that move through us are a part of us in a way. For me, stories are important because they convey not only a sense of self, but can dictate valuable lessons in their own right. They can help you understand the way a person is thinking, feeling, or even how the world forms around that particular individual. I like to analyze, thus these factors are of some significance. As for my preferences: Read on. ▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓░▓░▓░▓░▓░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░ I've always been a traveler at heart, so that is why I read mainly fantasy, because it sets no limit or boundary on the reader or for the author. You're allowed to escape to another realm and identify with the characters and/or their problems while experiencing their surroundings without actually having to go there. If you truly embrace imagination, then you would find that there are endless possibilities regarding the supernatural, the universe, and the genre fantasy. Other genres are not bad I suppose, but I've never found anything much of interest outside of the fantasy genre besides spiritual or historical books. If you recommend something to me, feel free, but I'm a picky reader. The writing must be vivid, detailed, and well thought out. An example of a book/fanfiction I would dislike? - One with no/little/or unclear plot, stories with characters which are merely a direct self-insertion (Can't we save ourselves for the autobiography, I mean really.), Mary-Sues/Stus, poor grammar or mediocre writing, and perhaps shallow natured ones as well. Specifically, I enjoy the writings of classical writers/playwrights/poets from various Eras in time. By name, I would have to say The Divine Comedy is an interesting read along with William Shakespeare and Charles Dickens, though really with both I enjoy specific writings rather than the entirety of their work. After all, writers in general make it big only once or twice in their lifetime before they are revered in death, you see. William Shakespeare and Charles Dickens were exceptions from this rule, as they were loved in life before death and death after life. Other writers/poets/playwrights/film writers would include: Voltaire, Alexander Dumas, William Blake, Edgar A. Poe, Bram Stoker, Mark Twain, Alfred Hitchcock I admire. More modern authors are in the recommended reading section. ▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓░▓░▓░▓░▓░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░▓▒░
